I love these chickens. Although, I must admit, I thought for a long time I wanted chickens. This stint in Massachusetts may have cured me of it. (I lived not one but two places with a dozen chickens. And one rooster.)
I used to think I needed 100 acres 10 minutes from town. Now - not so much. Living in a small town close to things I enjoy is my current focus.
The older I get, the more I realize that I just don't want to take care of so many things and beings. Chickens included. I would like to live near where people care for them and I can visit and ooh and aah and coo over these beautifully feathered creatures.
