    1. Thanks, Gemma - Hurricane Sandy has gone, the nor'easter gave us only a few inches of snow, it's delightfully sunny today - Life is good!

    1. Thanks, Carol! Here in this part of NJ, we didn't get much snow from the nor'easter, a good thing after Hurricane Sandy paid us a visit.

A happy weekend to you, too!

  3. Funny. No snow here. I remember usually having at least a dusting on the ground for deer hunting season, which is this Saturday. (I don't hunt, but remember that there used to be snow on the ground). But I am making snowshoes and will have the first pair of this season completed by the end of the day. I love to be out in Fat Falling Flurries, great use of words. I Like it.

    Peace

  4. Ah, it's so beautiful with the leaves still turning! We've been blessed with weeks of high 60's and 70's, but expect our first snowfall tonight, as well. Time to get into the holiday mood, I suppose...

    1. Lucky you with those temperatures! We had such a mild winter last year that I still can't complain about how cold it is in NJ compared to the SF Bay area. I think we might get into the high 50s and even low 60s this weekend. Yay!

  5. Do you have any idea how much I not only enjoyed this haiku post, and intent behind it... but all the ones preceding this? What a feast Delphine that you have for us here. I want one of those generators... those girls need to be awarded the biggest acknowledgment given for such ingenuity. And I'll have a pear too... XO

    1. Thanks, Lea - when I make those pears, I'll let you know! If I were back in California, I'd bring some over!

Yes, the generator is simply amazing - what a way to recycle our own waste! I hope that these girls get the encouragement and support that they deserve - and continue communing with their Muse!

    1. Wow - 6 inches of snow! We got off lucky with about 3 inches and most of it is already gone. I think with the warmer weekend temps, it will all be gone and I'll have to rake those leaves!

    1. Thank you, Marit - that picture was taken with my cell phone while those fat flakes were falling, so it's not really a good one. And I was slightly preoccupied looking for my dog, who couldn't find me and took off in search of me, all the while I was calling her! Eventually, we found each other!
