Heavenly Messages - November, 2012

Dear Friends,

First a personal note – As you may have guessed Hurricane Sandy delayed posting November’s Heavenly Messages issue. Here in PA and across the Northeast, millions lost electricity and where I live in the Poconos 90,000 people did. Many people in the affected areas are still without including many of my friends and clients here and in New York and New Jersey too. My neighborhood was fortunate our electricity stayed on, but since Monday we’ve had no cable or wifi, so no on-line access at all until last night.

A friend called to check on me and made this comment, people may be without electricity, but never without power. So true! I know all our hearts and minds are with the people whose homes are battered to bits or washed away by the storm, but one things these disasters prove is how powerful we truly are. Emergency responders selflessly jump into action (there have been utility worker here from across the country helping out) and the kindness of neighbors and strangers pours out and helps us realize how essentially connected we are. After the initial shock, people pick themselves up, tap back into their power and move on with life. Blessings be to all!

Now onto the astrology of November which is packed with cosmic power! Similar to last month every sign is affected, but Scorpio, Sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo stand out. Mercury goes retrograde on the eve of the US election, there are two eclipses, and Saturn and Neptune along with Pluto, Mars and Venus make powerful planetary connections. All very fitting for this Scorpio month!

November always begins with Sun in Scorpio, sign of the transformational energies of birth, death and rebirth whose ruler is Pluto, old god of the underworld, and co-ruler is Mars, the powerful war-god. Water sign Scorpio is deeply penetrating, creative, passionate and is all about power. Scorpio is willing to dive fearlessly into hell to better understand heaven. When Scorpio is involved the energy is always intense – you can count on that!

Scorpio energy helps thin the veils between worlds, so our loved ones who have passed on are more accessible to us. November 1^st is the Dia de los Muertos – Day of the Dead, also known as All Souls Day. This holy day was originated by the ancient Aztecs and is celebrated all over the world today. It is a time to remember and honor ancestors and loved ones who have passed onto the other side of the veil. Very appropriate to the deeply passionate and emotional Scorpio energy. Take a moment this month to reach out to those on the other side – when they can more easily respond with their loving touch to help you walk without fear on your earthly path.
