    1. I believe that the characters are metaphors with other stories waiting to be told.

  5. One thing for sure, in any story with these characters, the snake is most certainly the villain!! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Wabi - not in my story! I'll have to sketch it out online one of these day. All characters are needed and not at all villainous! :-)

    1. It's always good, I think, to revisit stories as our experience changes, expands and matures over time. I love the process!

  9. The old tale ended badly with these characters, perhaps there is another being written! Love the question in your words!

  10. a lovely invitation to create our own story, perhaps this time knowing the traditional tale, another ending might be called for :)

  11. perhaps the woman will feel no guilt
in indulging in the gifts set before her...
every life can be paradise if we choose to see it
    that way...snakes can slip away.
I would love to hear your story, Kathy ♥♥

  12. I love the opportnity to create our own stories...not blindly following the known story or the "mob" view! I have an interesting painting from Oaxaca that invites the observer to create their own story...and so far, every one I've heard is WAY different! Great haiku!
